Peter and Wendy are excellent hosts. Their house, surrounded by greenery, is warm and very welcoming. Wendy makes delicious treats, and everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The Hotel is very tucked away down the ned of a small lane - a beatiful old house in a very quiet location. THe hotel was very comfortable and our room was Large. The breakfast was very nicely cooked individually with all guests sitting around a large table - we all chatted about our days etc. We ate at a very old and pleasant pub as they do not serve dinner - only breakfast.

Superb breakfast with extra orange juice, extra fresh coffee, lots of toast and butter and the cooked breakfast was as good as a five star hotel. Really friendly and helpful hostess who also helped us find a good place to eat for an evening meal. Very kind and helpful in every way. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were simply and beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfy. Lovely spacious bathroom and everything was perfectly clean. There was music in he pub and as the room was soundproofed, we could barely hear a thing. Staff were so friendly and made us and the dog feel welcome. Food was lovely and beautiful presented. Met a few locals who were all genuinely friendly telling us all about the local area and routes to take to the moors.

Outstanding food, some of the best meals we have had in Devon. The Venison was sublime and the steak was just the best steak ever, desserts were just wow! The actual Inn was the cosiest and full of history and mystery! Overall a superb place to eat and sleep, staff were very friendly and very hardworking, A really great place to stay.
