We had stayed at Bay Villa before but not for 6 or 7 years ad were delighted to find that it was as good as ever. The room (Estuary) was spacious and bright, with a huge comfortable bed. There was ample room in the little dressing area for all our belongings, and the shower was fantastic. We also appreciated the drinks and snacks, and breakfasts on both days were excellent.

When you want to get away from it all, you really can at Grange Manor.

We unexpectedly got upgraded to the "lovers suite" and what a place it is, Jackie was amazing from start to finish and made the stay absolutely perfect. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Not one thing to complain about. 10/10. Thank you we'll be back.

the perfect score. a very nice room in a very nice hotel with very nice people. the room was cute and comfortable, the breakfast was very good... with salted butter without asking, a dream i'm not used to. If you go to Cartmel this hotel is the place where you need to stay for the night

Quite quaint with excellent service and excellent food.

On the shores of Levens Estuary, The Bay Horse Hotel is just 2 miles from Ulverston centre. With cosy log fires and a traditional restaurant, there is also free parking and free Wi-Fi.

The owner, Sarah, was a very loving, caring person. She was always available to help and was happy to tell about the area. She is so special and a reason why I will definitely return there. The breakfast was a typical English breakfast - very rich. Sarah made sure I had a gluten-free diet because I'm gluten intolerant. Also cooked me lunch and we were twice having a BBQ. The room which I had, had pretty much everything you needed, like a water cooker, dresser, TV, clothes stand, etc. and if anything was missing, Sarah made sure you were taken care of. The room looked very comfortable and the bed was one of the first beds besides my own where I could sleep without having back hurting. The bathroom was modern. The farm is beautiful, you even have access to rivers. The area is near the beach, near the hoad (that's what they call the light tower there), the prairie and the meditation center.
