A nice and cosy pub. Staff is very nice, room cosy and clean. Breakfast simple but good. We had lunch and dinner there and food was really good! Easy parking outside the pub. We loved it!

Everything was great, bedrooms were all set in order and the kitchen and living room too, Access to Netflix, prime, and YouTube. Local landmarks to visit; both barnard castle and Escomb Saxon church. Plenty of options for food nearby; plus some food to start of with in the house. Was top.

40 Winks is a fantastic find, and one I will be retuning to. The location is ideal, the building and decor are amazing, and the staff are brilliant. And then there is that breakfast.
