We had the loveliest stay at Carters Rest & really enjoyed our time there :) The cosiness of the house, coupled with its picturesque views makes it the perfect place to relax. The place was perfect. There were sufficient linens, towels, toiletries, making the room comfortable to stay in for a few nights. Food and snacks were provided in the communal area, which were useful for our breakfast. The location is close to the centre of Portree, which was perfect to explore the Isle of Skye. Overall a great experience and would definitely book this place again if we were back in Portree!

The photos of this place do not do it justice. It’s really nice, you can see a panoramic view of the ocean through the shared space. We had a window with ocean view from our room. Great value for the price!

Rachel and Stuart made our room perfect. It was a birthday getaway, and they took the extra effort of decorating it with "birthday decorations" plus a very cute card filled with wishes! The view from the room is spectacular especially in the morning you can't help but want to chill by the window and drink your tea. The room is spotless and very warm and cozy with a small extra space/closet to put away your suitcase/clothes. Overall, next time I'm visiting Isle of Skye I'll book again straight away a room at Coolin view.

Very cozy and warm atmosphere. Spacious and well organized room with everything, even the coffee machine with capsules. Spacious shower with very good water pressure. Splendid view from the roof window. Perfect position to explore Skye. Host super nice and welcoming, we will be glad to come back.
