Our stay at The Gordon Guest House was perfect! We got an upgrade to suite room which offered us an amazing view of the mountain in the morning. The suite room had luxurious jacuzzi and a very big bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was set at a cozy temperature. We felt very welcome. The breakfast was made as per choice. It was prepared by the hosts themselves. The delicious breakfast made our morning and we had a very good start of the day, enroute to starting our NC500 journey. Beth and Steve are great hosts and we had a very engaging conversation on topics such as Indian music, Scottish Highland life. We would definitely come back again if we visit Ballater. Highly recommended!

Everything was superior to many places we stayed. The level of hospitality was delivered with constant humour and helpfulness.

No 45, Ballater is a guesthouse set in an acre of gardens and is just 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Ballater. The individually designed rooms each offer unique charm.

The b&b was fantastic! It was not just a room; it was almost a whole apartment with everything we needed (including a separate dressing room, kitchen appliances, a bathroom with rain shower, usb plugs)! The location is great; the view from there is nice and peaceful, and the garden is just beautiful! The warm welcome from the very nice hosts and the decoration details (books, funny wall decor, Scottish decor, a box on the bed with anything we could need for a shower and a good sleep) made us feel at home in Scotland! A small fridge with orange juice and milk was offered, as well as a big variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies/sweets.. just for us! The breakfast was brought to us in the apartment in the morning in a cute box, and it included all possible things one can find in a continental buffet (toast bread, butter croissants, chocolate croissants, fruit salad, butter, honey, jams, cheese, ham..)! We thank you so much for this experience! We will come back every time we visit Scotland :)

Kildrummy Inn promises a harmonious and charming experience. Generally, statements on websites are overstated, but I would say in the case of Kildrummy Inn, they can not fully explain the whole gratifying experience. The staff is very helpful, the whole interior design is just so completely >right<, the food is delicious and the rooms, though small, have all little details checked. That's all just facts though, the whole feeling of the place is just soothing. Great experience, would recommend and we're definitely coming back!

Lovely place and staff, had lovey dinner at the bar and perfect breakfast at the restaurant the next morning. Very detail oriented, exceptional design choices, room very nice and comfortable, bathroom was new, well equipped and comfortable as well. Very clean as well. Would definitely recommend!

Clean, warm and friendly. This was superb accommodation with welcoming hosts. Great location right in the village with good advice on choices where to eat. Breakfast was beautifully cooked with extra available.
