If you want to try something different to a hotel - this is it. The hostess was great. She speaks English but still offers a very authentic French experience. The room and living area are not only comfortable, clean and very spacious, but also beautiful. It's an old building - I think an old military barracks, but beautifully restored. Breakfast was also authentically French. This means not huge amounts of food, but smaller amounts of very high quality food - think fresh strawberries from the garden, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh baguette, fresh croissants, home made jam, French butter, excellent coffee etc...

The host was nice, the rooms very clean, the beds very comfy. Breakfast was nice as well. Since there is still a lot to discover in this beautiful town, we will visit again and when we do, we will stay here again.

Friendly hospitality from our host Ricardo. He gave us lots of advice on the battlefields and museums of Verdun and local restaurants in walking distance. Ricardo's works of art was lovely to enjoy in all the rooms also spreading outside into tranquil space for breakfast. His home was perfect for parking our truck in his garage safely.

Everything was brilliant, so much care has been given to guests needs. I would like to suggest a tea cloth would be useful to dry crockery and cutlery.

John was a VERY friendly, helpful host. Willing to chat and offer information. Lovely historic location - Les Gros Degres. Our room was delightful - clean, attractive modern decor.

Newly renovated house with stylish rooms and comfy bathroom. Great breakfast and super-friendly host. Great value for money. Samuel is very knowledgeable about the area and history of Verdun. We arrived by bicycle and could store them safely. Next to the Meuse cycling route.

Absolutely fantastic. Great host. Catherine made us feel like at home. We slept so good! Enjoyed delicious breakfast. It was our quick stop on the way to Bretagne but we felt lucky to have found it. A gem of a guest house. The setting was fantastic, the house has clearly had years of love and affection poured on it. The furnishings were incredible. Our hostess was so welcoming. The food was superb.
