Something better than this would be difficult to find. The cabin was perfect with everything that I could need. It was very spacious with a great sea view. Kitchen had all the utensils I could need from a water kettle for tea to a dishwasher. I travelled alone with the goal of disconnection and relaxation but there is enough space to a larger group of people. The location is perfect, the shop (ICA) is near and within walking distance from the pier where the ferry leaves you or a bust stop. Best of all, the location between Hönö and Öckero islands. This way one can go hiking north to Öckero and Hälsö one day and another day go south to hike around Hönö and Fotö.

This was a perfect place to stay. Our hosts were kind, caring and helpful. Thechotel has been totally renovated and is spotlessly clean. There is a nice terrace with a view over the sea and a bar open from 1500 to 2000 for the residents. The fish soup on our last evening was delicious.

Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. We had no idea what to expect from a "pirate hotel", but it was above any expectation! Besides that, it was a wonderfull room, with big balcony, big big bed and all very clean and "piratty".
