It was the hotel that served the best breakfast I have seen in Zanzibar so far. Both the food and drinks were delicious. The rooms were small but clean and useful. The air conditioner was working smoothly. You can fill your water from the water dispenser near your room.

The place itself is awesome. The vibe and the state of the hotel are super good. At check-in they asked for our names and remembered them throughout our whole stay. It is just these little details that make you feel welcome. I especially want to mention Adam from the front desk. He was an absolute angel, helping us out with the best local places to go out and helping us book trips. If we came back we would definately book again. Breakfast and the restaurant in general were also great.

The biggest 2 trumps of Mahali Zanzibar were the location and most importantly, the people! Firstly, it's located in the middle of everything, right on the beach and in the middle of Paje beach overlooking the ocean, just a few min walk away from the little market and grocery store. Secondly, the staff in Mahali - every single one of them was such a sweetheart! They were very welcoming and so personal and that in the most positive meaning of this word. People were always smiley, positive and always ready to help whenever you needed it. What's more, the place itself is really nice and clean as well and as I already said it had a nice view over the beach. The room was super spacious. They made our beds, changed towels and cleaned the room every day. This is all really nice! However, more of a luxury. We would have been totally fine with the same towels since it would be better to save water :D But all in all I don't whine.. The only thing that was little funny, not that it was something I did not like, but I was not used to this, was the breakfast. The food itself was delicious and you were able to order literally everything you wanted from the menu, but the way it was organised was strange. We knew that the breakfast was included in the stay, but they did not explain how does it work, if I was able to order a specific amount of items from the menu or there was no limit. Maybe this is something I would recommend them to rethink or at least explain to guests. After we understood though, we just ordered almost everything from the menu every morning. Just the first interaction with the staff at the breakfast table was funny. :)

Fabulous location. Great hosts. Fantastic location for Kite surfing or just relaxing. Will come back, especially as they are upgrading the hotel at the moment.

We had a perfect stay at Kivuli Beach Resort!!! The hotel is located directly on the beach in a very quiet area but very close to all bars and restaurants in Paje. The staff was great and helpful, there was no request that Juan and all team could not resolve for us! Very good breakfast and the rooms are very clean and huge! Can't wait to come back!
