The location was perfect - in such a cute area of Mutrah, within easy walking distance of great restaurants, Omani forts, and the Mutrah Souk. I got a free upgraded room which was really clean and cute with traditional Omani decor. The room had a lovely rock shower with great amenities. The property felt very safe as a solo female traveler!

We had a great time in Muscat, where we came for a birthday celebration, thanks to the efforts of all the hotel staff, especially the reception, Al-Khiran and Pavilion restaurant teams. Excellent staff. Friendly, professional and great with kids. Spacious, modern rooms - possibly the biggest standard room out of any of the 5 star hotels in Muscat. And the best feature of the hotel. Tasteful, 'seaside resort' design elements throughout which immediately puts you in holiday mood. 2 big swimming pools. Plenty of other facilities, e.g. 2 separate gyms, kids play area, spa with steam room and sauna etc. Many dining venues, although all are high-end establishments (as expected at a 5 star hotel). Overall, in my view, this hotel is setting a new benchmark in Muscat.

The breakfast with view on the beach is a delightful experience. The rooms are large and let you feel that unique Shangri-La culture, no matter where in the World you enter their hotels. Decent size room with a great view. Lovely private beach with sunset views. We rented a car for the day (very easy to do at the car rental within the hotel) which helped with accessibility as there isn’t much at walking distance. Helpful and friendly staff.

Great location right on the beach with numerous good quality cafes and restaurants next door. Easy drive to Muttrah, the old town and to the airport. Views were pleasant. Be aware that the balcony is shared. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bedrooms were cleaned daily and fresh water provided.

The property is right on the beach with a huge balcony facing the beach. The balcony is connected for 4-5 rooms and works best if you are a group of people. The staff is also very friendly!

Excellent location with access to a private beach. More than enough sun loungers by the pool and on the beach, even on the busy days. Pool area was excellent and the poolside service was generally excellent (only one exception). Room was large and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. Overall the level of service from hotel staff was excellent.
