Darshi, Oshi and their three kids who live on the property were the most amazing hosts. Darshi is a phenomenal cook. The food was out of this world!! If you asked for a particular dish, it was delivered! Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. We also learnt much about the local culture from Darshi and Oshi.

From the moment I arrived the staff did an amazing job, nothing was any trouble and always a smile.. add to this an amazing building and decor you have an amazing hotel. I made the mistake of booking a place in the fort for the social aspect that was more expensive and half as nice in every department, probably forgo the 3 nights in the new place and return to Taavetti, you won't regret booking i promise you.

We spent two nights at this lovely guest house and had an amazing experience. The location is perfect — right by the sea and in a very quiet area, far from the noise of the city, which made our stay even more relaxing. Direct access to the beach. The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful and attentive throughout our visit. They made us feel very welcome and at home. Breakfast was a real highlight: generous, varied and prepared with great care. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious and beautifully arranged meal — a perfect start to the day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful seaside getaway with warm hospitality and excellent service. We would definitely come back!

A wonderful hotel on a beautiful coast with a very nice family. A place in the style of an island, clean rooms, exceptionally tasty and always fresh food. We felt at home thanks to the wonderful atmosphere. We came as tourists, we are coming back as friends :) We will miss you! See you next time, thank you 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

This is a place for a great experience of being literally in front of the sea, chilling out with a drink while lingering on a confortable bean bag , watching amaizing sunset , having nice meals freshly prepared. If I 'll come back to Sri Lanka again I'll definetly come back to this place but having a private room this time, the dorm could be a bit uncomfortable since have not windows which make it quite hot and hummid.
