This is truly a hidden gem. If you book Dinesh's place you will get what is in the photos but at the same time you will get sooooo much more that can't be captured by a camera. You get the honor of being accepted by a local Sri Lankan family as one of their own. This warm hearted family will go to extra lengths to make you feel like in a home away and hard to leave :-). Compared to tourist hot spots in Sri Lanka, Dinuli is offering a unique experience at a reasonable price. Bottom line is if you are after something authentic this is a place for you and not a hotel with 24 hour service. Apart from accommodation, beach is amazing and for a change you can actually swim without being slammed by huge waves. They are manageable. You will not make a mistake if you book Dinuli. By far the best place to stay in Sri Lanka! The rooms were very clean and the whole cottage was well care taken. Air conditioner was good and the location few minutes from the beach and the stores was super. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we felt welcome. The food they served in the cottage was amazing! The tastiest food we ate on out trip to Sri Lanka!

Nilnara Villa was absolutely stunning, spacious, clean and cozy place to stay a few or even more days! It is located a bit away from the (urban) noise with a nice beach (great pool!) but at the same time very close (by tuk tuk/motorbike) to the near villages/cities. The stuff was always there for us and helped in any ways (even took us to the airport) and even the chef cooked us wonderful meals. Our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful one night at this villa—fantastic surroundings, just a 2- 3 minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend! While our room's AC wasn't working, we trust they'll fix it soon.

The place is located right on the beach. Superb view especially from the room on the second floor, but ground floor views is also amazing. Very quiet over night, super noise isolation. Recently built(or seriously renovated). The family that is running this place are unbelievably helpful and kind, and will make sure your stay is maximum comfortable for you

An oasis of beauty and tranquility. Just eight rooms, more like a home than a hotel. Such peaceful views across the lawn onto the beach through ancient trees. It’s on a very rare patch of Sri Lankan beach with no other hotels or restaurants, just the local fishermen. It’s a magical stretch of beach with hardly any tourists on it. The powerful waves means its not ideal for swimming. But if you walk around the corner 15 min away there is a calmer huge beach, but much more crowded and built up . I did have a quick dip every day, but better to swim around the corner . On the way is a rock jacuzzi pool perfect for young kids, and very popular with the locals at the week end. I discovered it’s co owned/managed by a norwegian so the material standards are really high, beautiful local furniture, gorgeous interior decoration, sophisticated simplicity or is it Asian elegant ‘hygge’ ? The food is delicious, beautifully presented with a choice of local and international dishes, fairly priced as well. As a solo traveller it’s a real haven. The staff are particularly kind and attentive. The manager even called me at 22.00 when I wasn’t back to check all was ok.

Fantastic place - with an exceptionally friendly staff. The service level was far higher than expected, and in a very welcoming manner. We have stayed in many places in Sri Lanka and in Asia in general - but this place is by far the best place we have stayed in terms of quality, atmosphere and price.
