The location is simply breathtaking and once the last ferry leaves around 5:30pm you have the entire island to yourself with the other few hotel guests (10 rooms in total). There are picturesque viewpoints all around the island in the various areas of the botanical garden, where the vegetation is assembled by world region. The restaurant, while expensive, is worth every penny. Certainly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had - an intimate, quiet, superbly delicious meal looking out over the lake to the lovely town of Ascona under the kind and watchful eye of the restaurant manager who handles all table duties alone.

I really loved my stay at Casa Conti and the marvelous room, it has such a spectacular and a very close view on lake Maggiore that makes the place extra special, and the rooms has a very fine taste spacious, comfortable and very well equipped.
