Set 1.5 km from the town of Koli, Kolin Lotus Cottages are located close to Lake Pielinen. These self-catering, semi-detached cottages have a children’s playground and BBQ facilities. It was much cosier than in the pictures and was spotlessly clean. This small resort functioned like a well oiled machine and the caretaker was on hand offering assistance/ taking conscientious care of ploughing the snow to aid our exit and entry to the property. It was very very cold when we visited and the snow was mounding up continuously, but there was firewood on tap and the sauna was wonderful. and the view/ position amongst the trees was just idyllic. The cabins are in the perfect location for visiting Koli national park; witnessing the crown snow load alone was worth the drive from Helsinki. For anyone doing the same be aware that driving in the snow can increase the predicted driving time by 1/3!

Airi is the best host I've ever seen. There is a nice terrace facing the forest. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are clean and comfy. The coastal area is extraordinarily gorgeous and tranquil. I drive to the place. There's a local grocery store and restaurant in the neighbourhood. I would like to stay there again.

It’s a very clean and cozy apartment in the centre of Kuopio. The apartment is fully equipped and has everything for a comfortable stay. The location is great, as it is close to everything in the city. Even though it’s in the city centre, the apartment itself is very quiet, has a private entrance and a private parking lot. Moreover, there were bicycles offered by the host Sari, so we could also enjoy the city by cycling, which was a pleasant advantage. The communication was great, Sari was very responsive and friendly. The only thing that bothered us a bit was a bad smell in the bathroom, but Sari reacted to that actively and quickly and solved the problem, so we don’t have any complaints :) We really liked the apartment and hope that we can come back! Thank you!

Boasting a sauna, Suvantorinne is set in Sonkakoski. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The owner fired the sauna up so when we arrived the sauna was nice and hot which was a surprise bc we didnt know until we arrived

Located in Suonenjoki in the Eastern Finland region, Mummon mökki - Granny´s cottage offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. I really liked this cabin. The location was awesome. It was peaceful but easy to access. It was easy to heat the sauna because everything was ready and there was very good guide book for everything. I slept very well. I enjoyed every minute.

Set in Kolinkylä, within 5.7 km of Koli National Park, Kolin Lotus Superior offers accommodation with air conditioning. Great view, well cleaned and everything worked well. The contact person was easy to reach. It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

Very clean, fully equipped and the nature around is stunning. There is a direct entrance to the lake as well. Very much recommended.
