Everything was perfect! My husband and I are both Greek, living in Berlin, and we have traveled a lot. This was the first time we stayed in such a clean accommodation, especially considering it is not a huge 5-star chain hotel. The room was spacious, giving us all the space we needed and making our stay super comfortable. The view was breathtaking! In addition to the room, the breakfast was delicious and handmade by the hosts. As Greeks living abroad, we obviously miss and appreciate a good handmade Greek breakfast, but we believe it is a great opportunity for foreigners to experience it too. Last but not least, the hosts were extremely warm and polite, while also giving us the space and discretion we needed.

From the very first moment, they made us feel right at home with their warm hospitality, genuine kindness, and effortless charm. The room was spotless, well-kept, and fully equipped — perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The balcony opened up to a lush, colorful garden filled with flowers — a truly idyllic scene that brought instant calm. During the early mornings, due to strong sunlight and some bees around the garden, it wasn’t always easy to sit comfortably on the balcony to enjoy our coffee — but honestly, this was just a minor detail that didn’t affect our overall experience at all. We were pleasantly surprised by little gestures in the room: local treats and authentic Kytherian flavors that we truly enjoyed. The property is in an ideal central location, making it easy to explore all parts of the island, while still offering absolute tranquility and quiet. Parking was also very convenient and hassle-free. The value for money was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend Aloi Studio to anyone looking for a welcoming, peaceful, and beautiful place to stay on the island. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Philoxenia, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, owners and staff made us feel truly welcome, their warmth and genuine hospitality set the tone from the beginning for a wonderful stay. The facilities were spotless and very well maintained, while the rooms had a comfy, tastefully designed interior that made us feel instantly at home. Everything was sparkling clean, with great attention to detail that added to the sense of peace and relaxation. Breakfast was another highlight! Each morning we were treated to a delicious spread of homemade Greek specialties — fresh bread, local cheeses, and other traditional delights like original Greek yoghurt of high quality, the jams and sponge cake, were prepared with love from the owner. Philoxenia is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience of genuine hospitality, comfort, and tradition. We are already looking forward to returning, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the island of Kythera ! Thank you for an amazing stay !

The hosts were excellent, very pleasant and ready to accommodate us with whatever we needed whether it was food recommendations, taxi services, etc. Further, the place was extremely clean and provided as a courtesy food and snacks in each room which we thought was a nice touch! Cleaning service came on a daily basis and made sure everything was spotless and tidy! Another plus was the beautiful views of the water and the ample parking which is so desperately needed in a small island. I would highly recommend this hotel to whomever wanted to come to Kithira!

The location is in a very quiet part of the village. The room is spacious and well sound-insulated. The darkness made it easy for us to enjoy deep, undisturbed sleep during our stay. The Wi-Fi worked well. The bed and pillows were very soft and comfortable.
