I arrived early morning my first day and was able to easily drop my bags off before check in. The room was clean, had everything I needed, even greeted me with a cute origami Swan on the desk when I went in. The location was very close to Kyoto station and I could grab busses easily from there too.

It'a an APA hotel, you kind of know what to expect. Everything worked and the prices are reasonable. The location was very good for both the bus/train station, so it was easy to get to all the places you wanted to go. There was also a communal bath, which my Japanese wife wife made daily use of while we were there.
The APA hotel chain is quite standard across the country so I already knew what to expect, which is something I appreciate. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, fuss-free check-in. Also, I like that the beds are raised, allowing for luggage space.
