We liked everything about the property. Our spacious room was fantastic, with all the necessary amenities. Sue, the woman who assisted us at the property, was also tremendous in all respects, arranging for our late arrival and helping with a number of questions that we had regarding meals, places to visit, etc. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone!

The owners are truly wonderful, kind, and amazing people. I felt safe and right at home.

Loretta is a wonderful host and the house and garden are beautiful! There was a coffee and tea corner with a variety to choose from, breakfast was delicious and everything was clean and fresh. Set in Whanganui, 47 km from RNZAF Base Ohakea, The Grand hotel whanganui under new management offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The property was ok, the owner is still fixing it up from old owners. But cannot complain about the customer service. They were amazing and really went out of their way to make sure everything was sorted. For the price that we paid and the service will definitely stay there again.
