The motel was eco-friendly and we received a very warm welcome. One of the very few places where you regret not staying longer. We loved our stay at Kauri Park Motel.

Absolutely loved staying here , so cozy and warm. The little details make a big difference. It was pouring with rain when we got there and the host pre heated it for us can't thank you enough.

Very handy to town centre. Very private. Wake up to the bird singing. Lovethe fruit trees around. This is a pet-friendly accommodation, which is hard to find. The chalet is excellent.

Kerikeri is an attractive small town with lots of lovely trees and gardens especially beautiful at this time of year.
There are a number of cafe’s and restaurants in Kerikeri some of which we visited definitely recommend Black Cat for breakfast and Thai for dinner.
Lots of place to go walking and sight seeing.

Nearby Puketi kauri forest walk; day trip to Oponone and Waipoua forest;
Tauranga Bay peninsula half day drive; Kerikeri town centre with hanging baskets of flowers, and the stone store; Paihia and Waitangi trip with side trip to Haruru Falls if willing to take 6km hike.
We self catered except for fish & chip lunch in Paihia (down the side road not the one on the waterfront) great value.
Waipapa has no character; it is a convenient operating base avoiding need to encounter town traffic when going somewhere other than Kerikeri.

This was a lovely place to stay.
This was a lovely place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and everything we needed was provided. It was a real treat to stay here.
We visited the Treaty Grounds, just down the road for a cultural and historical education. We hiked to waterfalls and mangrove forests. We caught the car ferry and visited Russell on the coast.

I liked most the variety of eating places both in the shopping centre and out on the water
There was a ferry running every half hour across the bay to Russell a very interesting little town to spend the morning in
I loved my morning walk along the beaches before it got busy
Paihia faces east so it gets the morning sun
The town hosts international cruise ships so there is a huge variety of tourist activities available from the centre itself

There was no faults I've stayed there a couple of times with my mum when she was alive and she was very fussy she use to say it was a flash motel so that says everything about the motel.
No photos taken it was a all day Kupa Haka competition from schools from Whangarei to Kaitaia competing

Do yourself a favour and stay for a few days at this wonderful place. There are so many walks, and lots of beautiful spots to explore. It would be a shame to limit yourself to the main street.
The museum and the French Printery are certainly worth a visit, as is getting up to the top of Flagstaff Hill and having a coffee from the van on Long Beach.
The 4 Square shop is well stocked and reasonably priced if you are self catering.

Your in a perfect spot where you can embrace nature and enjoy a beautiful spa and a cold swim with so much peace. It was perfect for our family that come from the busy and loud city of Auckland where peace is so hard to find. This place hit the spot.

Pahia is a lovely spot with some great restaurants and shopping. The ferry over to Russell ia a great day trip and Russell has some fantastic and unique spots to dine and shop.
Would go back there again and would stay longer to explore all the experiences Pahia and Russell have to offer.
