Great location 5 min drive from Donegal airport, 5min walk to the Village The owner of the hotel showed me around the Brewery at the back of the Hotel. They have there own Craft beers Eirrigal, Ale, Strout and larger, IPA. I had trouble getting a taxi to the airport the next morning and the hotel staff drove me to the airport. 5 star rating for this hotel has everything. I woukd recommend🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 👌

Although only there for a short while Bunbeg has all the ingredients of the mystic west. The sunset was spectacular over the beach. Bád Eddie (Eddies boat) on Bunbeg's Magheraclogher beach, in Gaoth Dobhair (Gweedore) is a must see. The official story is that the boat was stranded on the beach but we heard from a good source that Eddie did it deliberately. He beached the boat in order to fit a new engine but he was going through a divorce and his wife asked for her share of the boat so he never repaired it.

Teach Hudí Beag is a fantastic pub, with excellent staff, the most wonderful traditional music sessions on Friday nights and (I think) Monday nights, and Irish the spoken language throughout. Caife Chití just opposite is the perfect place for breakfasts, salads, lunches. And the tours in nearly Croithlí distillery are both entertaining and informative --- the whiskey tastings are great too!!!!

Kincasslagh is a tiny hamlet north of Dungloe. The walk to Kincasslagh Pier is relaxing and lovely. It's a nice place to stay and get away from it all, but I'd recommend having a car, as bus service is limited, and local services are minimal (one small market, and pub that's often closed).
