We felt extremely welcome and at home in Casa Amazilia. They helped out with everything: waited for us at the airport to arrange transport, brought us to the centre of town for dinner, arranged tuktuks and invited us for lunch. Quiet side of Leticia and close to the airport. Far beyond any expectation and the perfect place if you would like a more personal touch.

The hostel is great and the location is near the airport which is super convinient! We enjoyed our stay and Marcela & Ali were really kind and helpful with everything. The first night we came really late, but Marcela made sure we reach the hostel safely and get all the necessary information. Highly recommended! Muchas gracias por todo! 🥰

What a great place to stay at! From the photos we knew already that the place would be lovely, but we didn't expect that the working staff would be as lovely. Jonathan's vision for creating a place where travelers will be feeling like home, where they will be able to really exchange between them, and also his vision of getting people to know the indigenous culture, was what made this experience way better than we would have ever imagined.

Leticia is the city you will reach to start your Amazonas adventures. We spent one night in town before we traveled up the river. After a long travel to reach Leticia, I would highly recommend spending a night or two in town before heading out on the river. There are lots of restaurants, bars, etc to explore in town.

Leticia is very safe and friendly, with plenty of stores, restaurants, bars, cafes, and more.
There are plenty of police, soldiers, and coast guard.
We walked from the airport to our downtown hotel, but the sidewalks and roads are rough. There are many inexpensive taxis, tuk-tuks, and even moto taxis (motorcycles).
There are ATMs and currency exchanges, in case you want to go to the neighbour town in Brazil.

Leticia is a gateway for the Amazon so many people don't spend time here, myself included. But it would have been interesting to stay an extra day and visit Brazil, Peru which are both very close.
