In a quiet location in Wals, 5 km of the historic centre of Salzburg, the family-run Hotel Himmelreich features a sauna and a garden with a swimming pool. Very helpful and empathic staff. Great breakfast. Having bikes available for ride was a nice bonus.

Great restaurants nearby! Easy check in process! The apartment was everything we expected and more. Well heated, lots of space and very, very clean. The shower had great water pressure and the walk in wardrobe was very useful. If you are renting a car, there is an underground garage. Honestly l cannot fault this apartment. If I were to come back, I would happily book Madlhof apartments!!!

This modern, quietly located 4-star hotel is part of the Wals Trade Centre and is just off the A1 motorway and only 800 metres from Salzburg Airport. They allowed us to check in over an hour early which was amazing and staff were very nice. Room was great and had everything we needed. Coffee in room was nice too. Only a 15 min walk to the airport in the morning or there is a bus stop 2 minutes away which takes you into Slazburg city or to airport
