There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. We booked both bungalows and they were fantastic with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The place is also situated a bit far away from the other camps, making it an excellent choice for privacy and experiencing nature. We brought our own BBQ kit and grilled outside, followed by setting up a campfire to enjoy its warmth, especially as the weather can get a bit chilly in the evening during this time of the year (November). After a lovely night of grilling and campfire, we retired to our bungalows, with some sleeping on the bed and others on the sofa. During the next morning, the staff worker prepared us a simple breakfast as well.

Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. Our stay at Royal Desert Camp was fantastic! The host and staff were wonderful, taking excellent care of all our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset trip and the campfire under the starry night, as well as the delicious Omani Quroos for breakfast. I would love to visit again someday, inshallah!

Amazing service from all of the staff. We loved the space between each dome, providing privacy for our family of 5 and ensuring we were not disturbed during the stay. From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!
