Hotel and staff are so very accommodating. We were upgraded to the tree house which was a fun experience, overlooking the river. Room and hotel is very clean. Bed very comfortable. Pool is lovely and towels available poolside. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and less expensive than in town. The hotel helped book us a safari and provided a boxed breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious and lots of effort was made to accommodate by food intolerance. Highly recommend!

Yakaduru is renowned for its architecture and tourism, where guest can stay in properties built by Mud and palm thatched roofing. Yakaduru Yala runs on renewable energy sources, and features free WiFi, on-site parking and a barbecue facility. The place is amazing and is a must when visiting Yala! The staff is attentive and always ready to help you with a smile on their face. They go the extra mile to make the whole experience unforgetable. We did the full day safari and were lucky to see two leopards!  The bbq night was also amazing I highly recommend this place and you won't regret staying here.

Good Karma Hotel is about 17 km from Mulgirigala Rock Temple. It is about an hour's drive from Mattala Rajapakse International Airport and Yala National Park. Bandaranaike International Airport is a 4-hour, 30-minute drive away. Excellent courtesy from the staff. We went for the first part of our honeymoon and they treated us extremely nicely. Food is great, beach access and calm environment, perfect for relax. Special mention for the spa, excellent. Definitely recommend

The pool is divine and the pool furniture is beautiful. Close to stunning beach. Definitely recommend. One of thr nicest places we stayed and pretty cheap.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 From the moment we arrived, I knew this place was special. The design of the cabanas is thoughtful and beautiful, the gardens lush and calming. Everything looked brand new, clean, well-maintained. Beds were super comfy, bathrooms excellent, plenty of space to breathe and unwind. The pool—two of them!—were exactly what I needed for a peaceful swim and to cool off. Breakfast was a highlight: generous, fresh, tasty, with enough variety that every morning felt like a treat. Location is perfect: tucked away enough for quiet and relaxation, but close enough to Rekawa Beach for beautiful walks and turtle watching . But what really made the stay special was Madura. Thoughtful, hospitable, always on point. Couldn't ask for a better host. He made sure everything ran smoothly, checked in just at the right times, gave helpful suggestions for things to do, Really appreciated his warmth. If you’re looking for a serene, well-designed escape, with excellent food, cleanliness, and superb hospitality — this is it. Don’t worry about the service, they’ve got it totally covered. Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

There was a good breakfast and a lot of restaurants close by for convenience. Definitely head to the ancient temples close by. It's right next to the lake so it was very relaxing for my family.

There is water in the bedroom as well. We had an amazing stay. They can accommodate for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and all home made. They offer tours to Yala park as well and it's definitely worth it we had one of the best guides.

I would like to start by commending Gayan, the host! He is probably the best and nicest host I've had in Sri Lanka. He sent me to the town FOC to get some of the best Sri Lankan food I've eaten, given me a free nature tour around the lake where we can see fruit bats and owls, arranged the safari at the most affordable rate I could find, had some of the most interesting conversations about plants, animals, Sri Lankan culture, etc. Everything in this place felt like a family home. We had tea at 4AM before the safari and was also welcomed back with a king coconut! The room was also amazingly clean, spacious, well decorated and came with an extra cooler fan because Tissa can get quite hot. I definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!
