The room was very spacious and well equipped, total silence during the night. The hotel also provided some mini bar snacks and cup ramen. The parking lot was easy to find and there were signs indicating where the reception was. We would totally come back for another visit!

Site Of Reversible Destiny Yoro Park is 33 km from the hostel and Yoro Land is 33 km away. Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

Well located and the historic neighborhood walking distance from almost every site. The bathroom building was very nice and modern and clean. The main house building was also very spacious and comfortable. The bikes were great for getting around town. And I absolutely loved the private Japanese garden in between the two buildings. even in the winter snow, it made it a delight to go back-and-forth between the two buildings to use the restroom or shower. I would have enjoyed staying another day. Thank you for offering such a restful and peaceful place to stay. I enjoyed my time here much more than I expected. It was lovely.

Inase Otsu Machiya Bed and Breakfast, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is situated in Otsu, 10 km from Daigo-ji Temple, 11 km from Shoren-in Temple, as well as 11 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Featuring garden and inner courtyard views, this bed and breakfast also comes with free WiFi. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 12 km away and Mount Hiei is 14 km from the bed and breakfast. Everything was great. We were 1 short because of sickness, but we had already payed and I didn’t even think about asking for money back. But the women who greeted us insisted and talked to bookings so we could get some of the money back for the room. Even do it was the same room we used. Very good breakfast, they held a fun and educating tea ceremony. The room was nice and comfortable. And when we used their washing machine they asked if they could fold our clothes and bring it to our room so we didn’t have to wait for the laundry to be done. We have only good things to say about Inase Otsu Machiya and the staff.

A free shuttle runs to/from JR Ogoto-Onsen Station, which is a 5-minute ride away. This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.
