Very cute and big hostel. The facilities were great and offered very cheap laundry (which is rare)! The beds were very comfortable and the space for each person was big! Very kind and friendly staff that helped to show us around. Shower area was also one of the best I’ve been to.

I selfishly hesitate to give this house and host such a great review because I fear that it’ll be all booked up when I want to come back with other guests to Naoshima. Still, we felt lucky to get to stay here!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a seasonal outdoor pool. The property was perfect. It was quite remote which we enjoyed after coming from the business of the city. The room was immaculately clean and spacious and was well equipped with amenities and cooking equipment. The view from the room and the huge balcony was beyond stunning. Would highly recommend staying here, and already have to many people! Would definitely stay here again and wish we had been able to stay longer.

Spacious clean had everything you need. Hosts were super sweet and food was aplenty for guests to cook/eat. Every amenity was available including bath salts/dvd player/toaster/microwave etc And they picked us up at the port and took a photo for us to remember the place AND it came with free bikes! Hosts also helped me book a restaurant for dinner. Super sweet couple super gen. Highly recommended!

This is the nicest hostel I've ever stayed at, and it's not even close. I also stayed at some great hotels during my stay in Japan, but Kotori still stands out as my favourite. I had a private room, and it was so worth it. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was - the room smelled amazing, the mattress looked brand new, and the bed linens were crisp and white. The dining area upstairs and bathroom/ laundry areas on the main floor were similarly spotless. I usually carry flip flops to use in communal showers, but there was no need in this case - the showers always looked scrubbed clean. Every part of the hostel is well decorated and looks modern and cool. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/ check-out process was quick and easy. I really hope I get the chance to visit again!
