Property owner provided us detailed information about the old town, place of interest, transportation, eateries and etc during our check in. He allows us to park our car until we came back from Neuschwanstein after 2pm.

The staff is very helpful, the breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from and the room was really clean. Also the location makes it very easy to visit all of the palaces in the area.

This hotel is located a few minutes' walk from Lake Forggensee, 8 km from Füssen town centre. It offers country-style rooms and a terrace with a panoramic view of the Allgäu Alps and the royal castles. The view was amazing, the staff was very friendly and professional.

Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away. The property is set amongst beautiful farmland. Other than between 8:00-10:00AM there is no formal reception. When we arrived our key and instructions were waiting for us in the hallway inside the main entrance door. Our room was large with a dining table, kitchenette and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the small self serve store which had beverages and food items. You also have the option of ordering a breakfast or buns but we had an early start the next morning so could not use this service which starts at 7:45AM. Payment for items you take from the store Is done on the honour system by paying the host directly if checking out between 8-10AM or by leaving cash in the room or by PayPal. The host was good at getting back to us with answers to questions. We wished our schedule allowed us to stay more than one night!

Shopping possibilities can be found in Reutte. The famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are 20 km from Hotel Tannenhof. Cozy and clean. Patio was beautiful and the location was tucked into the farms outside of town for a quiet getaway. The hills surrounding were stunning and easy to get into for hiking. There were bike rentals and a sauna at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect stay for an outdoorsman. Very English friendly!

Free WiFi is available in all rooms and public areas. Very nice breakfast with a breathtaking view of the Castle. Value for mine and great location with on site parking!

Decorated in a country house style, the elegant rooms at the Landhotel Guglhupf feature a private bathroom and high-quality wooden furniture. It was way better then I expected. The pictures do not give it justice.
