I recently had the pleasure of staying at Zen Residences, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They are not only friendly but also attentive and always available to help with anything I needed. Their professionalism and warmth really set the tone for my stay. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained, with a modern design that’s both functional and comfortable. As a brand-new apartment complex, everything feels fresh and state-of-the-art. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a comfortable living space, from the fully equipped kitchen to the spacious and stylish living areas. Whether you’re staying for a short period or longer, Zen Residences truly has everything you need. The level of care and attention to detail provided by the staff makes it feel like home right from the start. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay!

Even if only for a few days, Maliyakal Homestay truly felt like a ‘home away from home’. The hosts, Mr Sanal & Mrs Selvi, are amazing people, welcoming and always keen to ensure the stay is going well. The room itself was great; spotlessly clean, A/C and with a comfy mattress, which isn’t always the case in India. There is also a desk in case you need to work remotely. The en-suite bathroom was equipped with power shower and spotless. I declined the dinner option during my stay however I had breakfast every day and it gave me the possibility to taste real Kerala food, freshly made and enjoy seasonal fruits too. Full access is also provided to the upstairs kitchen and coffee/tea making facilities are available. The house also has a typical Kerala style terrace which was the ideal spot to enjoy coffees and read, surrounded by luscious trees. As for the location, the house is set in a small, quaint village. It is very quiet and it’s the ideal spot to get away from the chaos for a few days. I had the chance to explore some of the nearby beaches, villages and interact with many of the locals (thanks also to Mr Sanal who took the time to share advice and also show me around). He is very knowledgeable and truly passionate about sharing information about the area and Kerala culture in general. He is also a certified tour guide. Overall I had an amazing experience and I will definitely go back during my next trip to Kerala. Highly recommended. Grazie mille :)
