The breakfast was amazing, huge variety to choose from, every staff member made you feel comfortable and made sure you are well taken care of and served upon. The most attentive and kind staff at any hotel I've ever stayed at. My partner and I were getting married during our stay and even though it wasn't at the hotel itself they still congratulated us and provided us a small gift. It's also the best breakfast buffet in the whole country. To my suprise when they asked for tea or coffee at breakfast they even wanted to know the type of coffee. It was a real cappuccino! The rarest in all of Indonesia!

The high standard of the hotel stood out by the hotel staff at ALL levels. The room was spotless, and water and bed were great. The view from the 20th floor (room 2010) was goods looking down at the traffic. Similar view from the bar located on the 21st floor. Breakfast and dinner selection were huge, with the dining room making you feel like a VIP. Did not use the pool or excise area. Location to all the places on my bucket list was easy, either walking or taxi.

I love the location as well as the restaurant. You are also very close to the mall, which for me is perfect whenever I have some free time.

Whoever has any sense for the impact of history on our current world will love this hotel. It is beautiful, well led, and also a living reminder of the complex shadow of the "long 19th Century" (including of its dubious features like colonialism). It was also the location of one of the most famous incidents (the "flag incident") on Indonesia's path to independency, so you will literally have a comfortable room in the middle of historical reminders. Its tranquil and lush gardens surrounded by the majestic hotel wings - and the occasional flying fox gliding through the vast open hotel corridors at night - have immense beauty. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, also thanks to the very friendly personnel. Several nights before I had a room in another high-class hotel down the same street on the 20th floor, but the noise from Surabaya's busy streets there was considerable, whereas in the Majapahit it was comfortably quiet at night. I hope that this amazing hotel and historical monument will be kept as well as it is right now for a long future, and I will happily stay there again next time in Surabaya.
