Very cozy and clean sauna, kind people, location was also perfect, center of umeå and you can buy your stuff at the supermarket next to the hotel. The gym was a bit tiny but pretty enough for upper training.

Wow, I was just passing Umea and needed a stay for one night. At the Mimer I found a perfect place to stay, actually I already plan to go back. Very friendly staff, clean room with comfy bed, exceptional breakfast buffet. I felt welcomed and was sad to leave after just one night.

We were able to eat breakfast after the standard time - it was an amazingly sweet act of kindness :). Very friendly atmosphere, I am sure I will be back during my next trip to Sweden!

The location was very convenient. Everything was easily accessible by walking - shopping, restaurants, bus and train stations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hours were reasonable, the selection was great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. It was an older building, but obviously had been completely updated, so it had a lot of character but was very comfortable. The eating area was in a large glass covered courtyard that really added to the experience.

Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. Very nice atmosphere Slept surprisingly well in our cell :D Very good selection for breakfast. We would definitely recommend this place
