The property was exceptional. It had everything. The design and the detail were wonderful. The food was very good. The breakfast was a real treat. Try the prosciutto and cheese omelet so light and fluffy and good. The black pork tenderloin with mushrooms and asparagus was excellent as well at dinner. We were on the third floor overlooking the pool up high with a beautiful view of the rooftops and distant hills, the location is amazing. Having parking just down the hill was a bonus. The staff were young and all very helpful and excellent at their jobs. They had been well trained.

Pool was clean and comfortable with adequate seating areas. The towels were nice. The room was dark for sleeping. ThE beds were comfortable. One of the best things was the the temperature control in the room as it really felt like climate control rather than just air conditioning. The buffet breakfast was good value for the extra cost.

Surrounded by vast, tree-lined gardens, the charming Convento São Paulo offers 2 outdoor pools a tennis court and offers 4 padel courts. Beautiful breakfast buffet. We also had dinner at the convent and it was very good with a wonderful wine from the area. The property itself is jaw-droppingly beautiful, with many original features from the 12th C. It is very beautiful.

Wonderful compound - a historical monastery where the original spirit and details are nicely maintained and incorporated. Most impressive was the Church that was still there and active, incorporated in the domain. One of the most beautiful Churches we saw on our trip in Portugal. Nice outside pool area and a little spa and inside pool.

24 km from El Corte Ingles, Quinta do Freixo is a recently renovated property set in Elvas and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Upon arrival we had high hopes for the week long stay we booked for our family. The cottages themselves are lovely. But the rest of our stay was a disaster.
