AL hawiyah camp is situated in Ḩawīyah and has a heated pool and inner courtyard views. Staff were the standout especially Kumar. Location and remoteness differentiated this property from other desert resorts in the same category. Rooms were very comfortable.

Sama Al Wasil Desert Camp is located in Shāhiq and offers a restaurant buffet. It includes table tennis and darts. The accommodation will provide you with a seating area. Best holiday ever‼️ Highly recommended for those wanting to experience dessert living but surrounded by comfort. From the moment we stepped in staff were warm, friendly and very attentive. Buffer breakfast was relatively good and dinner included camel meat and chicken barbeque (wish there was seafood). Gorgeous sunrise and sunset is easily accesible but you will need to climb, climb, climb the soft cool dune located behind the resort. MUST activities is the 4WD dune bashing, self drive ATV dune drifting (not for the faint hearted) and open movie watching alongside night star gazing by the bonfires.

The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows. Everything was perfect, we dont understand how it doesnt have a higher punctuation! Even though its not in Sur center its a good stop when you come from the dessert and then continue to Muscat or the other way around. Its easy to get to sur centre with your own car. The pool and the room its nice and the breakfast had a big choice of things. The shisha corner its also very nice presented. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Accesible with normal small car. The tent is amazing amd comfy

Arabian Nights Resort & Spa features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and bar in Shāhiq. The resort offers both free WiFi and free private parking. Food was delicious (loved the breakfast pancakes), the staff attentive and friendly.

Located in Ibrā, فندق المستقبل للشقق الفندقية ALMUSTAQBAL HOTEL Apartments features a shared lounge. The property features mountain and city views. The reception staff was very friendly and offered to wake us up during the evening if the giant turtles were seen on the beach and a guide to provide us to view on location. We used the pool that was quite good after a long drive. Breakfast was exceptional and staff encouraged us to take along some fruit that we had not consumed during the sitting. The morning of our departure we saw a baby turtle that had hatched during the night and wandered the wrong way from the sea.

Boasting a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and quiet street views, Golden Palm Oasis is set in Fulayj al Mashāʼikh. The property has mountain and garden views. Very convenient. Staff were amazing couldn’t have been more helpful. They really went above and beyond. Food was really good. So nice to have the pool to cool off. We loved all the activities particularly the Bedouin trip.

Located in the middle of Sharqiya Sands of Oman’s Empty Quarter, Arabian Oryx Camp offers a Bedouin experience in the desert. We opted for a transfer to the camp due to lack of a proper 4x4. The transfer included dune bashing on the same date. The drivers tried to impress with their desert driving skills from the first day. Our room was gorgeous with a window view to dunes. Dinner was amazing, as a vegan was I was indulged with variety of vegan options, which for Oman is not a small feat. We enjoyed the half day desert ride and dune bashing. Some drivers are amazing.
