It’s the kind of place where you can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually need. The vibe is a perfect mix of international energy and old Kyoto charm. The staff were amazing, especially Phuong, the Vietnamese receptionist, who was incredibly warm and accommodating. She went out of her way to make my stay more enjoyable.

Randomly got upgraded to a suite on the 25th floor, views were out of this world and room was super modern, clean and comfy. Would definitely stay again, location was great.

Conveniently situated in Kyoto, HOTEL RINGS KYOTO provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service. Fantastic. It was my first time at Hotel Rings and it was perfect. Walking into the foyer during the Christmas season was like coming home. The trademark sage (or was it cedarwood?) scent hung in the air and the cosiness of the place (from cute Christmas decor and ornaments to the paintings) was like a warm embrace. Annexed to the foyer was an equally charming cafe (loved their green tea latte; sadly I didn't have time to try their food which looked lovely as well). A welcome matcha drink along with delish snacks was offered in the lounge (guests were also welcome to have tea in the stylish space and have other snacks while reflecting or reading one of the books from the cute mini library). I had a very pleasant and memorable stay in this hotel as a solo traveller. My room was also very stylish without being over the top. Everything in the room was well-considered. It was spacious and equipped with modern amenities. Loved the rain shower as well. Overall, I think Hotel Rings is the perfect base at vibrant Nakagyo Ward :) The price point was also quite reasonable. I will be back one day :)

In a prime location in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO is located 1.1 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1.1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo... Very modern hotel, everything is very stylish, it has multiple dining options (restaurant, bakery, rooftop terrace if weather is nice). We had Premium King room and it was very spacious. Breakfast was amazing as well. We could order egg dishes and enjoy buffet. Location is nice too, Gion district is where you can truly experience authentic Japan.

Set in Osaka, within 400 metres of OSTEC Exhibition Hall and 400 metres of Mitama Shrine, Hotel Cordia Osaka Hommachi offers accommodation with free WiFi. We stayed here for a week, without breakfast. The room and the bathroom was really spacious, with plenty of places to relax. The Hommachi station is very close by, and there is also a world-class bakery and a beautiful park a few minutes away. It was nice to be able to get your room cleaned up without changing the sheets and the pyjamas.
