On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. We absolutely loved our stay! The place and the food were truly amazing - 10 out of 10. We’re already planning our next trip to the Leenane Hotel this summer. It’s also convenient to reach from Dublin without a car: take a train to Westport and then the 423 bus (be sure to check the bus schedule in advance; the bus stop is at Mill st). The rooms offer a stunning view of the fjord!

Standing at the head of Cashel Bay, this hotel is set in 50 acres of award-winning gardens and woodlands. Cashel House offers luxurious bedrooms, fine dining and a private beach. The Cashel house is in a beautiful remote location and in a very quiet private area. The house has this old charm and at the same time nicely updated modern rooms. We got aa free upgrade and really enjoyed our stay at the Cashel House!

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. The place is beautiful, the staff and owners are really kind and helpfull. The diner was reallly good.

Surrounded by private parkland on the shores of the Atlantic, Renvyle House features a golf course, swimming pool and award-winning restaurant. Very calm relaxed hotel, friendly staff and amazing location

What did I like? Well, we LOVED absolutely everything! - from the perfect communication (super-detailed - everyone should communicate like that) to the 'Welcome Croissants' and batch of ice per person! The place was flawless and immaculate, with every possible facility/appliance you could imagine. 4 spacey bedrooms with big, comfy beds, huge living room - bread, sauces, spices, classy cutlery, great bathroom (shower with easy access), anything you could possibly think of! The place is in a beautiful area - perfect for those looking for something special and not crowded, to reboot, re-charge and just breathe! I went with my parents for their 40th Wedding Anniversary and we loved it instantly - each bit and every moment, wish we stayed longer but had a really busy schedule. We had a lovely walk to the near Foirnis Island, beautiful views, we are really glad we have chosen Audley's and recommend to absolutely everyone, especially those seeking serenity. THE NEW STANDARD! Ballynahinch Castle Hotel in County Galway is set within 700 acres of woodland, with the beautiful backdrop of the 12 Bens Mountain range.The excellent restaurant holds 2 AA Rosettes. Ballynahinch is the real deal! We, as visitors, really wanted to treat ourselves to a stay at a "Castle Hotel", and we truly had a wonderful stay. Just fantastic. I would go again in a heartbeat. In contrast, we stayed at an unrelated castle hotel very near Donegal Town, at about the same price point, and it was disappointing. That other place was basically just a large quite generic hotel with a fancy old-looking stone facade and fountain out front. Pretty fake. No comparison. Ballynahinch is the gold standard! In fact, it was the best single element of our 15-day Irish holiday.
