Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Rio Dulce. The accommodation features room service, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. This was consistently the best food we had during our whole stay in Guatemala. The common lodge was so homey and inviting. We loved hearing the rain on our tin roof in our building. Bonus: The ferry to Livingston left directly from the Hotel pier. It was wonderful.

Hotel El Reformador is located in Puerto Barrios. Featuring a garden, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We were all super excited about the pillows not being flat like our previous location. Great stay for a quick trip.

Nanajuana Río Dulce has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar in Río Dulce. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... Breakfast was delicious and prices were comparable to restaurants outside of hotel. Hotel also offered an hour or two (don't remember clearly) of free little foot paddling boats, which was fun to pass the time. The hotel is nice and secure as well with security outside of resort. Loved that they were pet friendly as well, so I got to bring my pup along!
