Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Situated in Brough, 34 km from Askham Hall, Wilding Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The hotel was modern and nice and clean.The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was great and hot when brought out.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Lune Cottage nestled between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales is situated in Tebay. Booked for one night at extremely short notice (huge thanks to Kiran for accommodating us) en route to Scotland, and would happily have stayed longer if time had allowed. The cottage is in an idyllic location and had everything we needed, including a private balcony seating area. Would love to go back with more time to explore the surrounding area.

Set in Carlisle, 46 km from Askham Hall, The Fleece at Ruleholme offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Use the Fleece as a half way stopover, really great hotel, great food and even better great staff

Offering a garden and garden view, Netherby Hall is set in Carlisle, 37 km from Thirlwall Castle and 49 km from Housesteads Roman Fort. Exceptional stay. Very nice surroundings and 10/10 accommodations. The apartments are tidy and spacious and have anything one may require inside for both a short and long stay. We will definitely be coming back and staying for longer next time!

Kings Head - Riverside, Ravenstonedale has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Ravenstonedale. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed. The manager organized delicious cold plates for us. Most appreciated!! We needed a taxi for the following day . This was organized for us ! We needed a boarding pass printed … this was organized for us. We needed cash to pay a taxi …this was also organized. The management couldn’t have done anything more for us. Such truly kind and friendly people .

Featuring garden views, Lake District romantic get away in 1 acre gardens off M6 provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 26 km from Askham Hall. Lovely, warm, renovated cottage just off the M6 but very quiet. Perfect for a family - super comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms - one has a spa bath and the other a super walk in shower. It was a lucky find on a long trip from Scotland heading south and fabulous to be able to do a couple of loads of washing and re-set for the rest of our journey. We really enjoyed our stay thank you.
