Situated directly in the beautiful historic square in the heart of the Old Las Palmas, Plaza de Santa Ana, literally just a few steps away from the eponymous cathedral, and practically around the corner from the Casa de Colón, this boutique hotel generously gives its guests the royal treatment. I stayed in room 28, above the ground floor, which was large and elegant, with massive windows and a dizzyingly high ceiling. The little restaurant where I had my breakfast looked like an art gallery with its tastefully designed tables, chairs and tableware, old-fashioned cupboards, and a collection of antique vases on display. The view from the rooftop terrace was nothing short of spectacular. Befitting the hotel's name, the staff were incredibly cordial indeed. The enchanting Playa de Las Canteras, covered with its world-renowned fine golden sand, is about 5.5 km away.

The terrance was relaxing and beautiful, I had to work with my laptop and there was a perfect wifi connection. I was there for the Carnival and it was a perfect location, far from the night noise but at a close walking distance from the beach and all the night Carnival events.

Great place to base yourself in the old part of Las Palmas. Comfortable bed and the room was spotless. The ensuite was wonderful, with a big walk-in shower. The food was exceptional, and breakfast was fabulous, so fresh and tasty, with a choice of sweet and savoury options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even kept our luggage on the last day while we went to Poema Del Mar for the afternoon. A rare find! Highly recommended.

We had a short but fabulous stay at Carmelito 1. I stayed three nights at this delightful boutique hotel and it was an excellent choice! Perfect situated, it is oozing wie charm. The rooftop terrasse with a lovely pool and bar is a great place to relax after exploring the town. The bus terminal is not far so it is alo very easy to do day excusions from there. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, bed super comfy. Everything is spotless. The breakfast menu is original and the dishes made to order are fresh and delicious. And to top this all, the staff is very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel!
