I’m not surprised by the high reviews — the photos show exactly how it is. The place has a calm vibe, great breakfast and coffee, and a garden full of life. The night tour was amazing, with red-eyed and glass frogs. We didn’t see a sloth in the garden but did at Mistico Park and at the hosts’ farm, where we ate fresh rambutans! We didn’t feel like a tourist here but part of the family. Truly memorable stay. Thank you Leo and Rosaura!

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. We loved that it was on a farm. It was a beautiful location about 40mins outside La Fortuna proper. You need a vehicle to get around. On the property there are horses, peacocks, miniature horses and even a beautiful water buffalo! The room was comfortable and the service was so hospitable and warm! DEFINITELY worth staying there!

The garden is beautiful . Basically you are sitting on your patio surrounded with all kind of tropical flowers and vegetation with perfect volcano view . Amazing feeling. Set in lush tropical gardens, at the foot of Costa Rica’s Arenal the Volcano Lodge, Hotel & Thermal Experience offers an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi zone. Air-conditioned rooms have a terrace. The garden is a piece of paradise, well maintained and colorfull. The hotel was not crowded, we could enjoy the facilities on our own. The decors are nice.

He helped us with our car rental flat tire and with our excursion details. Karina set our tv up with her computer so we could watch the college football championship. The breakfasts were delivered to us hot and delicious so we could enjoy by the pool. Karina took our clean clothes and dried them for us. Their rental is immaculate and they are the sweetest couple! Friesy told us to call him any time during the remainder of our trip if we need help anywhere in Costa Rico.

This is an authentic Costa Rica experience, away from the mass tourism of La Fortuna but also close enough to get there in a few minutes (by car) or even walk. The cabin is spotless, cold AC, warm water and good WiFi. Carlos and Rosie are the most wonderful hosts. You're staying in a working farm, so you can milk cows (and drink fresh milk) and see some wild animals up close, including sloth, monkey and toucans. As others mention the hummingbirds like to congregate in the garden. There is a little country store nearby with a few essentials, and the community is real and safe. Nice country walks.

The owner was a very nice man who welcomed us in a special way on arrival. Thank you. The accomodations are 'tents' but very comfortable. Daily breakfast was very good. Generally, continental, but you are offered scrambled or fried eggs cooked to order. Pool area is very nice. Beautiful grounds.
