Everything was perfect. The hotell is up on the hills with a stuning view. Everything is new and fresh. The hosts are wonderful and they are set out to make your stay as enjoyable as possibly. The breakfast is very nice and you feel like you are in a 5 star hotell. There are plenty of activities around, try the Praia Fluvial Coja. I Will come back here again.

Sofia and Andre are the perfect ones in receiving. They make us feel like family, A very beautiful cabin is the perfect place to stay for a couple looking for peace and quiet, with chickens, sheep and doggies. Fresh air, silence (very good for regaining strength, body and mental) and a phenomenal starry sky. Breakfast impeccable ( very very good ) and impeccable cleaning.

Exceptionally beautiful nature around the village, with idyllic cozy restaurants serving good food and rivers nearby. The hotel is located in a beautiful location with a wonderful view. Super nice treatment by the staff who have that little extra in the hotel's personal interior design and they are also meticulous with the cleaning. They also have a good warm feeling with the presentation of the breakfast and the selection that is served to the guests. I can happily recommend this hotel!

Our stay in this house has been lovely. We really appreciated the fruits, the jams and the wine found at our arrival, the heating system (not very common in Portugal, so we were very grateful), the cleaning of the whole house. The space outside was very welcoming and nice, but we didn't use it much because the weather was a bit cold. We recommend it very much!

What a find! Casa Carvalhal is an amazing property that is maintained to a very high standard by the owners. Our room and the ensuite were very spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Having a separate dressing room was a real bonus. The attention to detail in the rooms is exceptional. Our room had a terrace with chairs & sunloungers and it was lovely to relax outside with a book and enjoy the sun. We have visited many places and can honestly say this is definitely one of the best. The breakfast was incredible and very healthy with the majority of the food being homemade e.g. yogurt, marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice and granola - being given a bag to take pastries, bread etc with us was a lovely touch. Herman and Luc are fantastic hosts, who clearly have a passion for what they do - they were both more than happy to help us with ideas of things to do in the area. There is plenty of parking and the property is very secure and the locked gate can only be accessed by guests. We would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Carvalhal if you are visiting Gois or the surrounding area

Very nice guest house. Clean, good decoration and furnishings. Comfortable rooms. You can use the common kitchen/dining room to make tea, for example. Check-in was not difficult. There is private parking. Special thanks to the excellent breakfast with homemade cake and the hospitable hostess who prepared it.

Really friendly staff and clean, upscale accommodations. I love that they are dog friendly and were really welcoming to our dogs. We stayed in one of the rooms with the large balconies and that was very open and spacious. The breakfast is amazing. Lots of praia fluvials in that area and some really nice nature trails. Visit the local market next door for some treats or the campisimo across the street on the river.

Cerdeira - Home for Creativity houses an arts and crafts school, is hidden in Serra da Lousã and offers traditional units built in schist surrounded by an undulating landscape.
