A quiet, cozy place in the middle of wild nature. Great view from the room. Big beautiful outdoor pool. Clean rooms and everything you need is here. We saw monkeys on palm trees, various birds and a palm squirrel. Cats also live here. Visitors, please feed them! Very good staff, the administrator is excellent, helps in any situation. Great hotel! I will definitely come back here!

A really lovely calm, relaxing, clean and quiet place to stay. I stayed 4 nights but could have stayed longer, like others guests seemed to be. Very close to the beach (once you've figured out how to get there!) yet set back away from the bustle in a pleasant garden with cool areas to lounge in The food is absolutely excellent. The 'local breakfast' one of the best ever (and they even managed to present it in an arty and cheffy way, no mean feat with string hoppers and dhal curry!) The vegetable rice n curry dinner also was delicious. Helpful, smiling staff who seem to be on duty 24/7 Comfortable bed, hot shower, tasteful stone bathroom. I hope I get to stay here again.

Why House was like an oasis of tropical calm. It felt like we'd been transported back to colonial times sat on the veranda sipping Gin and Tonics of an evening, listening to the sounds of the forest around us. The grounds are walled and secure so our young kids could run around exploring the gardens which they loved. Henrietta who runs Why House is such an amazing host and made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than a hotel.

A great stay! Perfect service with Aruna and Asanka. Aruna is a great chef and prepared everything what we desired for. Asanka take care for the rooms and everything around without even noticing him - like a wizard. They were always there for us but still we had our privacy. Pool was a pleasure. Also a nice location. A bit away from the Main Street, but still close to everything what you need.

We loved our stay at Romaya Villas. Suranga and his team were super helpful and worked really hard to fulfil all our requests. Splashing around in the pool in the early evenings while watching the fireflies was a particular delight. The location is tucked well away from the main road in lovely countryside setting but within a short walk you're on Habaraduwa Beach with its wonderful white sand and a nice selection of restaurants.

People The owner Lee & all of the staff (Pushpika & Sludara) made us feel so welcome and did everything to make Sue our stay was comfortable. Location Although a little away from the beach, this was an advantage. Quiet, with a beautiful view of the jungle. We saw a mongoose, palm squirrels, langar monkeys, a peacock and many other special birds. The way that the place is set back from the road and the construction meant it was very peaceful. Room A really lovely, well appointed room with fridge, aircon, safe, comfortable beds, wi-fi, lots of power points, clean and modern bathroom. Looking out onto the lovely pool and jungle. Pool Well maintained. A good size and we were always able to get a sun lounge. Lovely temperature and cleaned regularly. Restaurant Although we only had breakfast here during our stay, we coincidentally had a lunch here during a recent tour. Both were excellent. Well cooked, good serving sizes and lovely tasting.

Araliya Beach Resort & Spa is a great hotel in Sri Lanka, this was our second long stay in the resort and we plan to go back in February 2023 :) The layout, gym, resturants, bar, food and beach area is great, and the location around the hotel has nice cafés and shops.@ There is one thing we would recommend the hotel to change and that is the music by the pool during the day. It's way too loud and way to noisy - it's like crazy party/rave music and it goes on for hours. We left the pool/beach area early every day just because our heads were buzzing from the heavy music, not being able to take a nap or even have a conversation without "yelling" to each other. Spotify has alot of calm but still modern pop music, the list is called "Lounge Music." Next time we arrive we hope this change has been made :)
