The location is excellent, very close to the airport. The hotel looks modern, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning and the fan both worked well, and the bathroom was very convenient. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended if you need to spend a night near the airport.

Everything was perfect. Safety and cleanlinessnis what I value the most and they exceeded it, above and beyond. I arrived at Astig Villa after what turned into a long journey from Arugam Bay – a ride that should have taken 4.5 hours stretched to 9.5, and by the time I arrived it was already night. The staff welcomed me so warmly and even prepared dinner for me, which was such a relief after a difficult day of travel. I had been travelling around Sri Lanka for two weeks, and staying here was exactly what I needed – a chance to relax by the beautiful pool and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The staff looked after me so well, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the owner was always available if I needed anything. He even organised a tuk tuk to take me into town, which was especially helpful in an area I wasn’t yet familiar with. What makes Astig Villa so special is the personal touch – it feels more like staying with friends than at a hotel. I’d especially recommend it to anyone flying into Sri Lanka late at night, as it’s very close to the airport, and the nearby lagoon is a beautiful spot to watch the fishermen go by. Whether you’re starting or ending your Sri Lankan journey, this is the perfect place to stay.
