A little oasis of calm from all the hustle and bustle of solo travel on a motorbike. The whole family who own Udai Niwas were warm and welcoming and I loved chatting to them over breakfast. They all have a wealth of knowledge about the area and where to go etc. A really great place to stay, nothing was too much trouble. I don't normally score stays this high, but I thought it was truly worthwhile. You can eat in the Café, more western style food, or you can order more traditional Indian dishes from the restaurant and they will get it delivered. I liked the place so much I stayed an extra day just to chill out before a big ride to Jaisalmer.

We loved everything. Seth (the owner) was really nice during all out stay. He came to pick us up at the bus stop because it was late in the night. He contacted us in avance to arrange our arrival. Then, he treated us as friends. We passed a day together, visiting Karni Mata temple and he took care of everything and showed us the havelis in the old town. He really is a good person and wants you to feel good at anytime during your stay. Salman who is also working there was really nice as well, making sure that we didn't miss anything. The room is worth the money, and the food that they propose is really good. The location is also good, and they have a personnal tuk tuk driver so you get the good price to go around. Thank you so much guys for everything, you made our stay in the beautiful Bikaner perfect ! Hope we will come back and see you again.

this is an actual palace and also has the first firing range of India and at the same time the royal family is living in the palace. there is also a private railway station belonging to the royal family. the rooms are very large and my older brother got to stay in the room specially modified for Amitab Bachan. the staff is very kind and hospitable the manager gave us a tour of the private part of the palace as well
