We enjoyed three wonderful relaxing days at Bank House, in a spacious, spotlessly clean room with private lounge and bathroom. Our hosts Mark and Trish spoiled us with delicious breakfasts, lots of helpful tips on where to go, great conversations and a wonderful sense of humour. The area offers so much more than one would think at first glance (Castletown Beach, Dunnet Head, Castle of Mey, John o' Groats, Duncansby Stacks ...).

Mike the Manager was very responsive to any requests. He made us very welcome and had some funny stories , food and service excellent . . Room was spotless and beds were perfect .

The last hotel on the A9, The Ferry Inn at Scrabster is newly renovated and has wonderful sea views. Just north of Thurso, Scrabster Harbour is the gateway to the Orkney Islands.

Super friendly staff. Beautiful view from our spotlessly clean room. Night meal was excellent and all very reasonably priced. Breakfast included and we were surprised how much variety was offered.

Scottish spirit that was in everything. The building itself is more than 120 years old, as i understood because of the picture in the restaurant. Free parking . Clean and cozy . Delicious food. Well, as for the location : if you are on these lands, it's quite late, and you are tired of driving. This is the best place to relax
