recently had the pleasure of booking a stay at Aurora Retreats and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the owner of Aurora Retreats was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From providing detailed directions to the property to offering helpful suggestions on local restaurants, their warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. Speaking of the property itself, it was nothing short of stunning. Nestled in the midst of nature, the retreat offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The serene atmosphere and tranquil surroundings made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It truly felt like a hidden gem. One aspect that particularly stood out to me was the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness of the place. The attention to detail was evident in every nook and cranny. The rooms were spotless, the common areas were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance was one of relaxation and serenity. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining their property to the highest standards. During my stay, I had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, and I was not disappointed. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, from hiking trails to nearby attractions. The owner's recommendations proved to be invaluable, as I was able to make the most of my time in the area and discover hidden gems I would have otherwise missed. Overall, my experience at Aurora Retreats was exceptional, and I can confidently say that I will be coming back in the future. The combination of a friendly and helpful owner, a beautiful and well-maintained property, and the surrounding natural beauty created a memorable and rejuvenating experience.

Where do we even begin? Jonathan and Simone are the most welcoming, warm, and hospitable hosts we've ever encountered. Their place feels like a warm hug — cozy, inviting, and full of heart. The views? Absolutely breathtaking. The food? Cooked with love and truly outstanding — don’t miss the lemon cheesecake (or anything else, really). The rooms? Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. All in all, we had an unforgettable stay and would recommend this place wholeheartedly. Can’t wait to return!

Coming from the crazy busy Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Crofters Cottage was just what we needed to unwind. Marie, our host, was super helpful and sent us all the info we needed before we arrived. We only stayed for two nights, but honestly, we wished we could've stayed longer. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and felt like home right away. You can tell the hosts really put thought into everything - they totally deserve their amazing rating.

What an exceptional Inn!! Everywhere you look there's something interesting! Our room was beautiful, very clean, well serviced, lovely view 😍 The staff were amazing, very helpful. The food was delicious 😋 Make sure you book for dinner as it's regularly fully booked. I would highly recommend Stein Inn & we would love to return. Well done to all involved with the upkeep, management & running of this exceptional little Hotel!
